  • Parvathy Thiruvoth Kottuvatta was given the Best Actress Award for her Malayalam film ‘Take-Off’.
  • Famous actor Amitabh Bachchan was awarded the Best Indian Film Personality of the Year for his contribution to Indian cinema.
  • In the 48th IFFI, Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
  • Marathi film ‘Kshitij- A Horizon’ was awarded the ICFT UNESCO Gandhi Medal.
